LB Fullerton, Senior Analyst, focuses on advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, and workforce development across the federal policy and funding landscape. Her work includes tracking congressional funding and appropriations, analyzing agency priorities, and identifying opportunities within key federal programs.

She supports research and coordination efforts that bring together stakeholders from government, industry, and academia, including contributing to the planning of events such as the Defense Patent Holiday, Advanced Materials Summit (AMS), and the U.S. ALIGN–AIM Roundtable (U.S. Alignment on AI for Materials to Secure U.S. Leadership).

Prior to joining SMI, LB served as a research intern at the Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI), where she drafted analytical reports on topics including U.S.-ROK relations, nuclear policy, and economic security. She also contributed to research on North Korea’s nuclear weapons and drone capabilities.

Additionally, she interned at the Military Advisor Training Academy with the U.S. Army at Fort Moore, where she prepared reports on Sino-North Korean relations and briefed military personnel on country conditions for deployment and domestic operations.

She also serves as a Research Assistant with the United States Advanced Ceramics Association (USACA), , where she supports research, working groups, and engagement on advanced ceramics and federal policy priorities.

LB holds an M.A. in Asian Studies with a focus on Korean Studies and International Security Policy from George Washington University and a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Asian Studies from Auburn University. She also studied abroad at Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea, where she advanced her Korean language skills.
