WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 15, 2018: Strategic Marketing Innovations (SMI) announced that Pat Malloy has joined the firm as an Associate. Malloy previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff, Counsel and Legislative Assistant to U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28).

Malloy worked for Congressman Cuellar starting in 2016. He was promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff in October 2017. Malloy is perhaps best known on the Hill for leading the staff effort on a bipartisan dual delegation effort to secure $89.3 billion in disaster relief funding following the tragedy of Hurricane Harvey. Malloy also oversaw and led the appropriations effort for Congressman Cuellar who sits on both the Defense and Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittees.
Prior to joining Congressman Cuellar’s office, Malloy worked for Congressman Gene Green (TX-29) and for then Ranking Member Ed Markey’s House Natural Resources Committees in legislative research roles. Malloy also served as a Special Assistant to the President of the Legal Services Corporation from 2013 to 2015.
Malloy earned a BS in Mathematical Sciences from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), a JD from Suffolk University Law School, and a LLM in Law & Government from American University’s Washington College of Law.
