Alan Hill has over 25 years of experience in public and government affairs and business development specializing in communications and technology, energy, advanced manufacturing, and advanced materials.
Alan’s professional career spans decades in executive leadership, legislative, and public affairs roles positioning him as a subject matter expert in the intersection of government and industry. He provides strategic planning, business development, public affairs and government relations services to clients in the communications, technology, energy, and advanced materials/manufacturing industries.
Alan has testified before the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission on China’s dominance in advanced materials and later was asked to join two advanced materials startups as a strategic advisor. He currently serves on the executive committee of an advanced manufacturing startup and was recently selected to join the Backer Board of Advisors for Graphene-X, a leading graphene technology company focused on using graphene and other advanced materials to manufacture high-performance, sustainable, and multi-purpose products. His career began on Capitol Hill as a staffer for the House Energy and Commerce Committee and later worked for Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL).
Alan has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky. He later completed post-graduate studies at the Naval War College during his tenure on Capitol Hill.
