Director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency from 2001 through 2009
Dr. Anthony 'Tony' Tether has over 50 years of experience working in technology issues as a part of industry and government.
Previously, Dr. Tether served as the Director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) where he was responsible for the management of high-payoff and innovative research and development projects. Dr. Tether has served in other position in the DoD including the Director of DARPA’s Strategic Technology Office and the Director of National Intelligence in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Dr. Tether holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
