Brian Moran is a seasoned public safety and homeland security expert. As President of Moran Strategies, he advises clients on complex security, resilience, and policy challenges in a rapidly evolving political and technological landscape. Mr. Moran previously served as Virginia's Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security, where he was a two-term cabinet member and homeland security advisor. He played a pivotal role in the state's COVID-19 response and co-chaired the Higher Education Safety Task Force. A skilled bipartisan negotiator, Mr. Moran, has successfully passed laws to improve public safety and homeland security. He also served as CEO of a national trade association and spent time as a state legislator, focusing on causes such as social justice, education, and healthcare issues.
Mr. Moran holds an M.A. in History and International Affairs from George Washington University.
