Advisor for countermeasures at the FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research
Ms. Cynthia Kelley has 30 years of U.S. federal government service, including more than 20 years with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Ms. Kelley served as the Senior Advisor for Counterterrorism/Medical Countermeasures in the Office of the Director, Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) at the FDA, where she was responsible for policy formulation and planning, coordinating, and implementing activities related to the development and availability of medical countermeasures for CBER’s counterterrorism program. She also worked at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases on basic research in the development of vaccines against several viral infectious diseases, specifically Ebola and Tick-Borne Encephalitis.
Ms. Kelley holds a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Iowa and an M.S. in Molecular Biology from Hood College.
