Dylan Keating, Analyst, specializes in national security strategy and defense analysis since 2022. At SMI, Dylan supports clients by evaluating legislation impacting the defense industrial base, researching Department of Defense procurement plans and guidelines, and monitoring technological advancements with the potential to revolutionize the defense sector.
Prior to SMI, Dylan worked with federal and corporate clients, focusing on a range of issues, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, cybersecurity, semiconductor manufacturing, and artificial intelligence. Dylan also served as a National Security Intern for Signal Group, a political advisory firm specializing in national security policy and the defense industry. Additionally, he worked as a Strategy Intern for Direct Persuasion, a digital political strategy and marketing group.
Dylan holds a B.A. in Political Science and Chinese Language from Villanova University. His academic concentrations include National Security Strategy, Chinese Foreign Policy, and International Relations, complemented by a minor in History.
