Elizabeth is a pragmatic and innovative leader with over a dozen years of international private sector experience and more than five years as an embedded contractor for the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. As a Subject Matter Expert in Additive and Advanced Manufacturing, she now focuses on implementing and optimizing public-private partnerships. Her work addresses policy issues, cooperative agreements, high-impact investments, technology commercialization, and integration between government, industry, and academia.
During her tenure with the Office of the Secretary of Defense's Manufacturing Technology Group, Elizabeth served as Principal Lead, founding the Joint Additive Manufacturing Working Group (JAMWG) and the Joint Additive Manufacturing Steering Group (JAMSG, now the Joint Defense Manufacturing Council, JDMC). She was a core contributor to the Department of Defense’s Additive Manufacturing strategic plan, collaborating with key stakeholders across the military, industry, and Congressional committees. As a strategic advisor to America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Institute in Youngstown, OH, she shaped federal additive manufacturing initiatives. Concurrently, she served as Chief Workforce Advisor for the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute in Pittsburgh, PA.
Before her role with the Department of Defense, Elizabeth worked at The ExOne Company (now Desktop Metal), where she expanded sales by 37% over 18 months, gaining valuable firsthand experience in the additive manufacturing industry.
