Prior Senior Director of Technology Transfer at UMass-Lowell
Dr. George Kachen has over 45 years of technical, business development, and marketing expertise.
Previously, Dr. Kachen served as the Senior Director of the Technology Transfer Office at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. His technical expertise in lasers, non-linear optics, and nanotechnology has enabled him to be a valuable member of Proposal Red Team Reviews and of review panels for non-profits such as the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and MassVentures.
Dr. Kachen holds a B.S. Engineering Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering (Fusion Option) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Applied Science from University of California, Davis.
