Col. Jason B. Mello, Senior Advisor, CEO, and Co-Founder of The KMC Group, LLC, brings extensive experience from his tenure with the United States Space Force, the Pentagon, and various IC agencies. Throughout his career, Jason has proven himself as a dynamic leader and industry executive, demonstrating exceptional capabilities in steering growth, managing change, devising revenue strategies, and shaping overall business strategies.

As the former President of Firefly Space Transport Services, he played a pivotal role in steering the company to success. During his tenure, Jason secured multiple commercial launch agreements, cultivated a billion-dollar pipeline for future growth, and forged key contracts with industry leaders such as Lockheed Martin and L3Harris. Notably, he orchestrated the acquisition of Firefly's first U.S. Space Force contract for the VICTUS NOX responsive space mission.

In addition to his military accomplishments, Jason has a history of pioneering initiatives, including leading the Launch Acquisition Division at the National Reconnaissance Office, where he advanced the use of small launch vehicles for National Security with a $1 billion annual budget. Jason's diverse expertise, coupled with his MA in Organizational Management from George Washington University, an MS in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, highlights his significant contributions to the military and commercial space sectors.
