Operations Manager
John Nelson is an Operations Manager at SMI, where he supports the firm’s expanding operational capacity and helps build the infrastructure needed to sustain its growth. His work focuses on technology initiatives, process improvements, events coordination, and day-to-day office operations.
Prior to joining SMI, John served as a Director for Students of Georgetown Incorporated and as Purchasing Manager for several Hodgies ice cream stands. He previously interned in the House of Representatives and was most recently involved in business development and student loan education policy.
John has a B.A in Political Economy and a minor in Environmental Studies from Georgetown University.
