Jon DeVault

Led DARPA Composites Initiative
Mr. Jon DeVault has provided management and technical services to the advanced materials industry and to government agencies for over 20 years.

Previously, Mr. DeVault spent four years at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) where he was responsible for planning and implementing a strategy to reduce the cost of polymeric matrix composite structures. Here, he initiated a group of programs that were known as the DARPA Affordable Composites Initiative. Prior to joining DARPA, Mr. DeVault was President of the Composite Products Group at the Hercules Aerospace Company.

Mr. DeVault has received the Material Leadership Award from the Suppliers of Advanced Composite Materials Association for his contributions to the advanced material industry. Mr. DeVault holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Physical and Mathematics from Baylor University.
