Lieutenant General Gordon 'Gordy' Fornell (U.S. Air Force, ret.) has over 50 years of acquisition experience including senior leadership positions in Air Force Systems Command and Air Force Materiel Command.

LtG Fornell commanded the Armament Division at Eglin Air Force Base, as well as the Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom Air Force Base. He served as Senior Military Assistant to two Secretaries of Defense, Casper W. Weinberger and Frank C. Carlucci. In addition, General Fornell was responsible for aircraft, engine, C3I, electronic combat, and intercontinental ballistic missile programs at the Air Force headquarters level; was the KC-10 program director; and a test pilot on various programs at Edwards Air Force Base, CA, and Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.

LtG Fornell holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.
