Matt Pearce is a seasoned government affairs professional with a proven record of success in advocacy, coalition building, and legislative strategy. As a leader at Cannon Pearce, he directs public policy initiatives across diverse industries, including agriculture, energy, finance, transportation, and healthcare. Previously, Mr. Pearce served as a Senior Vice President at Venn Strategies, representing clients on a broad range of federal tax and policy issues. He is also experienced in coalition and association building. He has represented over 50 state chapters under the U.S. Green Building Council and led employee-owned business advocacy through the ESOP coalition.
Mr. Pearce's public service experience includes serving as Legislative Assistant to House Ways and Means Committee Member Earl Pomeroy, handling tax, appropriations, and energy policy. Additionally, he has worked on multiple campaigns and served as Campaign Manager for Wisconsin State Senator Bob Wirch during the 2011 recall elections.
Mr. Pearce holds an M.B.A. and a B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.
