Omer Poroy is Founder and Principal of Poroy Global Advisors (PGA), a Boston-based strategic advisory firm serving clients in the naval and maritime defense, autonomous systems, and ocean technology sectors. With nearly 30 years of experience spanning technology development, business capture, and corporate strategy, Mr. Poroy helps organizations understand where the market is going and how to close the gap between current capabilities and future opportunities.
Mr. Poroy's career includes senior roles at Bluefin Robotics, where he served as Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Corporate Strategy, leading the company's divestiture to General Dynamics Mission Systems and supporting the acquisition of SeeByte Ltd. He subsequently served as a Director at General Dynamics Mission Systems, overseeing autonomous undersea systems strategy, IRAD investment, and major program capture efforts including the Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel program. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Teledyne RDI, where his work on Doppler Velocity Log navigation technology contributed to the company achieving a dominant global market position. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Robotic Systems, where he led organizational recovery and strategic repositioning following the company's acquisition.
Mr. Poroy serves as General Partner at Thomas and Taylor Partners Holdings. He is an active affiliate of NATO DIANA and Blue Xcelerator, and holds memberships in NDIA, IEEE, ASNE, MTS, and the Surface Navy Association.
Mr. Poroy holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, an M.S. in Ocean Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. He is a PADI Divemaster.
