Roger Crane, Ph.D.

30 years of Composites Expertise and Navy (NAVSEA) advanced materials work
Dr. Crane has over 30 years of composite materials related experience with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division.

Dr. Crane has expertise in a broad range of polymer matrix composite research programs including structural health monitoring, material property development, and development of new composite material systems. He has worked with various program offices in the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) such as PMS 450, PMS 500, NAVSEA 05P, and the Navy Manufacturing Technology program.

Dr. Crane holds both a B.S. in Physical with an Engineering Option as well as a B.A. in Mathematics and Physical Applications from Loyola University of Maryland. Additionally, he holds an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Delaware.
