WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 23, 2021: Strategic Marketing Innovations (SMI) announces that Bryan Maxwell has joined the firm as a Vice President. Mr. Maxwell most recently served as Senior Defense Policy Advisor and Military Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (NH), a Member of the Senate Committees on Armed Services and Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.
“Bryan is a widely respected national security figure on both sides of the aisle on Capitol Hill,” says SMI’s Chief Operating Officer Bill McCann. “He’s a great addition to our team, and we’re excited to have him on board, both for current clients and for new clients who will benefit from his contacts and his expert understanding of defense policy issues and the appropriations process.”
Mr. Maxwell currently serves as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve and served in Afghanistan. Prior to his time in Sen. Shaheen’s office, Mr. Maxwell served as the Military Legislative Assistant to former Congressman Dan Maffei (NY), a Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and for former Congressman John Hall (NY).
With more than a decade of experience on Capitol Hill, Mr. Maxwell brings to SMI a significant command of national security and defense industrial base policy, a record of securing significant funding increases through the congressional appropriations process, and the know-how to provide tremendous value to SMI’s clients.
Mr. Maxwell received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia and holds a Master of Public Policy from George Washington University.
